Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France and King of Italy, was responsible for the introduction of the Lira as currency, now of course replaced by the Euro. The first Lira was used in Roman times as a measurement of weight but in 1808 the Milan Mint produced the first Lira coin. The Delta Napoleon Bonaparte Fountain Pen is fitted with an 18ct gold medium nib, incorporates a piston fill mechanism and is presented in an exclusive storage case with a bottle of blue ink and a replica of the first Lira coin. The Napoleon BLUE is limited to 808 fountain pens and 808 roller/ballpens in sterling silver. Each pen is handmade from special resins, in either blue or burgundy colors, and are covered with hand carved precious metal sleeves portraying the most important events of Napoleon's life. The fountain pens in this very special collection, feature the first piston filling system in Delta's history. Now serious pen enthusiasts can write a little world history of their own, 18k Medium nib PISTON FILLER. Availiable in M,B grade nib.Serial number: 577.
